As freelancers, we can "call the shots" with our careers, but at the same time, we must be vigilant about "following through" with our clients, making sure we get paid on time and filing away each receipt so that when it comes time to file taxes, the sailing will be smooth.  

That said, I received a link from a lady named Kimberly Lee that may be of benefit to anyone who has taken the freelancing path. It's called 29 Financial Articles Every Freelancer Must Read, and I think it's worth looking at. Tax time is just around the corner, and, I, for one, appreciate any extra help or tips or advice.
