Hey Everyone!

This is just a short post this morning to thank everyone who came to the showing of "Escapade in Japan" at the Kimono Wine Bar & Grill last week. We had a great crowd and a great night. Only two people (I was one) had seen the film before. I was concerned that others would not find a 50-year old movie about two boys running away in Japan to be entertaining, but I was wrong. It was like we had all gotten on a great ride at Disneyland together and we were so into it that people were just shouting out their feelings, whether they be joy, shock, anger, sadness -- yes, it was like Mr. Toad's Wild Ride. What a night.

Stone Lantern Good day, all.

I have a few thoughts to share with those of you who have joined the FIT experience. Last year I spent a lot of time trying to boost spirits, encourage, cheer people on, motivate; you get the picture. But it has occurred to me that that is not enough to help people who are attempting to create their own fantastic freelancing journey in Tokyo. What I think may be of more value is to tell you more real-life experiences, not just mine, but yours, if you care to share them. The idea is to help others and to make the life/work experience in Japan a deeply enriching one.
