Tokyo TowerWelcome to the FIT site! The journey of FIT from a simple email request from an acquaintance on how to find work in Tokyo to a full-fledged book was an arduous one, but extremely worthwhile. Also, the evolution of the FIT website has been an illuminating experience and I want to thank all the artists at Media Contour for the incredible job they've done and continue to do.

To kick things off right, tonight is a release party for FIT at the Kimono Wine Bar. Many of the people who were instrumental in helping me get my freelance career off the ground will be there, so it will be quite a celebration. One of the things we will be doing tonight is what all FIT people should be doing: exchanging meishi (business cards). For anyone living in Tokyo, this is an essential part of doing business. I got my meishi designed and printed by Mojoprint. They do a great job and deliver on time.

My purpose with this blog is to provide tips, hints, links, advice and general overall comments to help anyone who is seeking to carve out a career as a freelancer in Tokyo. To that end, make sure to visit the Helpful Websites page for tons of links to just about everything you can think of having to do with living/working in Tokyo. Thank you for visiting and I hope you will be returning often.
